Welcome adventurers!
These words are a suitable way to launch Argent Modus Magazine the magazine for you, to highlight the creative talent and stories that make up the world of this wonderful hobby and passion we all share. From figures to bases, paints to brushes, stories to books, conventions to cos-play we hope to share it all. I will even confess to my own plastic/resin pile of shame at some point. Those Really Useful Boxes are full of tales to tale. As we will also discover one of the things that unites the world is the imagination of Horror, Fantasy and Science fiction and we will celebrate this here in all its diversity.
We begin with a regular series looking at some of the designers.
The words ‚Welcome adventurers‘ can be found on the opening page of Fireball Figurines, a company from Croatia. In an interview with Fireball Figurines founders, Marko and Matteo describe themselves as ‚local geeky boys‘ who like many makers of miniatures wanted to provide to the market what they thought was missing being experienced gamers themselves. They wanted to provide detailed yet affordable miniatures to the market. This you can see they achieved when looking at their impressive website.

Fireball Figurines currently offer over 40 figures to purchase, download and print at home.
The range that Fireball Figurines breakthroughs down into four categories
- 32mm adventurers
- 36mm Monsters and villains
- 64mm large monsters
- 32mm 5-piece packs of battle-ready adversaries

All of these are highly detailed and designed with the model painter in mind. They would look just as good in a display cabinet as they would occupying a tabletop dungeon.
Fireball Figurines begun in late 2023-2024 so are reasonably new to the market. They recall
‚we discussed among ourselves that we need to start making our own personalized minis for campaigns we play instead of relying on pre-existing models from the vast ocean of ready-made minis on the market. Figuring out that we can also provide the same to others, we turned from our starting goals to opening our ideas to the community we love and now serve as manufacturers of miniatures/figurines.‘
When asked about their design process Fireball Figurines stated that for a lot of the time they follow ‚the rule of the cool’. Which is certainly reflected in their designs. ‚Fallen Heroes‘ for example shows what happens when you roll a 1.

The Ork Barbarian female is also a very well designed dynamically posed figure

Oakheart, The Treant Protector is Marko’s favourite model and the Orc Barbarian Chieftain is Matteo’s. Although as they say these favourites can change depending on their latest release.
When asked for their future plans Fireball Figurines stated that they are looking at supplying figures to their local stores and managing their website and they some interesting plans in the making.
I look forward to seeing what this inspiring company has in store for the future and am sure we will feature them again.
