This is a reflection of the owner and designer, Jérémy.
Jérémy has been wargaming since the age of 15 and has wide experience in the 3d modelling field in the advertising and movie field. Jérémy decided to follow his passion and combine his 3d designer skills with his 15 year love for wargaming and Clay Beast Creations was born in 2021 after an extensive three months of preparation.
At its beginning Jérémy wanted to make models that were not copies of models from existing companies but for them to have their own theme. It is also part of the design process that the figures can be used for all types of wargames. The only limit being the imagination of the gamer.
As Jérémy admits he is a big fan of dinosaurs and lizardmen so this was what he started with. His Starscales range certainly shows this love of lizards and dinosaurs to its fore. The Stellar Riders are magnificent

Jérémy’s design process for an army is as follows
‚I first try to find a strong theme that will shape the whole thing. Then I plan on the first release l to have it a bit thematic ( like all cavalry / shooting unit…) and then I start looking for visual references.
As a gamer and movie enjoyer I usually inspire from those. For instance World of warcraft, league of legends, Marvel comic books and cinematic universe.
Then I sculpt around a key art that shape the main feature and I add things and mix with my references.‘
You can see the strength this approach in the distinct themes and looks among the models. Currently there are seven distinct collections – Sand Lords, Sons of the Everfeast, Shadow Stalkers, Grove Guardians, Fallen Beasts, CryptNigthmares and Star Scales. These evocatively named collections all feature thoughtfully designed sculpted pieces of miniature art with a wonderful level of detail and thoughtful dynamic poses.
Jérémy ’s skill as a designer and as a story teller, is reflected in how different each model looks and the poses chosen. Jérémy does ensure that each theme has overall common touches so that they look similar in some aspects.
It was the Feral Vampire model that first got Jérémy ’s work more widely known.

This is a vampire at its beastly self. More Nosferatu then Christopher Lee. It will not just bit your neck, it will rip you to pieces. The Blood Lord in this series is also similarly designed. Gothic at its best with well detailed leathery wings.

The biggest by far model that Jeremy has created is the well named Giganodon Prime. This comes in ten parts and I can almost feel the floor shaking with its roar as I look at its design.
